Saving a link

Use + save at the top of any page, the bookmarklet on a computer, or the share sheet on a phone. Saving a link you already have opens it for editing instead.

Tags

Separate tags with spaces: css layout toread. Tags are not case-sensitive and can use any language. Up to 25 per bookmark.

  • for:anna sends the link to Anna's "for you" list. It works when one of you follows the other.
  • via:anna credits Anna for finding it.
  • toread is just a tag, but a handy one.

Private bookmarks

A private bookmark is visible only to you. It is left out of every public page, feed, search and count.

Searching

Press / or Ctrl+K anywhere. Search looks at titles, notes and tags. You can narrow it down:

  • tag:css — only links with that tag
  • user:anna — only Anna's links
  • host:example.com — only links to that site
  • is:private — only your private links
  • "exact phrase" and -word to leave a word out

Feeds

Every list has an RSS feed: add /feeds in front, e.g. /feeds/tag/css.xml or /feeds/user/anna.xml. Add .json instead of .xml for JSON Feed. A private feed of the people you follow can be created in settings.

Import and export

In settings you can import a browser bookmarks file (HTML), a del.icio.us XML export, a Pinboard JSON export or a CSV file, and export everything at any time.
